Postby kimi_boo on Fri Oct 23, 2009 4:40 pm

Hi class....

As always this assignment is open to EVERYONE, welcome to the forum.
Our lesson never end so if you find this late, please feel free to add your image.

Remember.... if you see an image that you like, please leave a comment for your fellow students. Everyone likes a pat on the back.
There is no right or wrong process here. The point of the creative homework is... to be Kreative!!
Just Jump in and Have Fun!!

A reminder.... this is not really homework. (it is just called homework) These exercises are open to everyone. Hope to see lots of entries!

Please use Pixentral if you can, so we can see a large version of your image.

ooohhhhhhh..... a quick homework.
Skeletal mess (aka Ghostbones)
posted the coolest tutorial on his Flicker site.

Work the image he provided and follow the steps.
Post this assignment. Then you can try on one of your own.

You really need to follow his first to truly grasp the changes in the image.

ok, I used the same two textures with the same opacities.
I added a levels adjustment after the multiply layer. It was just too dark for this image.
I also burned around the edges.
The sky was really washed out on this one. I love how his paint texture added some blue back in.

Over an hour later and I'm back. I did the tut with his picture. Don't think it came out as nicely as yours, but I often veer off. Then I spent way too much time looking at all his other photos and textures...such talent.

Anyway, here's mine.

Tennie... isn't his work wonderful! :woohoo:

I gave another one ago. Same two textures but I played a little more on this one.
One of my problems is I don't have a lot of outside shots that are just places.
We are having a scavenger hunt tomorrow morning at a cemetery. I will keep this in mind. :bigwink:

Thanks Kimi!
Didn't like how dark it looked on the forum, so played around a bit more.
