I took 2 of my 8 grandkids to the beach today. They wanted to see some tide pools. While we were there I saw this person in flight with his kite. Actually, if you open the 2nd link and look close you'll see there are 2 people hanging off that kite.

Tune

Postby bjt » Tue Jun 01, 2010 10:04 am

For those of us in the U.S., this comes to mind when we see our national flag.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Not only is the 1893 courthouse building historic in and of itself, it is now the home of the historical society

I took this photo as we left Las Vegas en-route to the Grand Canyon.

Maybe he was going there also?
